Failla, Sonoma Chardonnay 2020

Failla Wines is a boutique winery based in the Sonoma Coast region of California, specialising in producing high-quality, small-lot wines. The winery was founded by winemaker Ehren Jordan and his wife, Anne-Marie Failla, in 1998. Failla is known for its focus on crafting wines that express the unique terroir of the Sonoma Coast and other cool-climate regions in California. Sonoma Chardonnay 2020 is blended from some of Sonoma's best vineyards: Olivet, Keefer Ranch, and Flood Gate. The wine is aged in a mixture of concrete egg, stainless steel and new French oak. The wine rests sur lie for approximately 9 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Aromatically, this Chardonnay has more citrus-driven notes, with a sprinkling of yellow apples and pineapples. On the palate, the wine has refreshing minerality, a touch of well-integrated oakiness, and a finish of crunchy pears.
